Alright, if you’re like me and have about 30 different online identities it becomes a pain in the ass to try and manage all of them. I recently bought MS Office for my Macbook and Entourage (the new Outlook-ish email client) sucks donkey balls. Enter THUNDERBIRD by Mozilla–the makers of a lil browser you might have heard of called Firefox. It’s free and it’s badass.

So check it out:

Step 1: Download the latest version of Thunderbird here

Step 2: Install it. It should import all of your contacts from whatever 1st email you give it.

Step 3: Go to Tools—>Account Settings

Step 4: click on add new account

Step 5: Select email account, then hit next. Enter the name that you want associated with this particular email and then hit next.

Step 6: Select the type of server you are using. (Most likely it will be POP). If you are using gmail then this will all be populated for you. If not, then you will need to find the server. Just google “what is ….. pop server”. Enter the type of email you use here (hotmail, etc). For example, hotmail’s POP server is pop3.live.com

Step 7:  Make sure you do not check “use global inbox”. If you do check this box then all of your multiple email accounts will route to one Inbox.

Step 8: Put in your email account username. If your address is jim1212@hotmail, then put in jim1212.

Step 9: Hit finish.

Step 10: Rinse and repeat for your other accounts. Now you will be able to manage them all from one location.
